Local Law 84 (LL84), Benchmarking: Requires that buildings 25,000 square feet or larger file annual Benchmarking Reports with their energy and water usage. The annual benchmarking reports are due by May 1st each year. A violation and fine of $500 per quarter will be issued to covered buildings that fail to file – with a maximum fine of $2,000 per cycle.
Local Law 87 (LL87), Energy Audits and Retro-Commissioning: Requires that buildings 50,000 square feet or larger, file an Energy Report every ten years. The Report must be prepared by a qualified independent engineer who meets the qualifications as set forth by LL 87 compliance requirements.
